The Art of Slow Fashion: Creating Quality Swimwear with Aira Bikini

Hey sis! Are you curious about how we create our new swimwear collections? As the owner and designer of Aira Bikini, I'm excited to share with you the process we go through to bring our beautiful, Brazilian-designed swimwear to the world.

 First off, let me tell you that it's no small feat to design and launch a new collection. It can take us anywhere from 12 to 24 months, from the very beginning to the final launch. And believe me, it's a journey worth taking!

 At Aira Bikini, we are a small and slow fashion brand. We don't get inspiration from fleeting fashion trends because we want our pieces to be timeless. That's why we take a more intentional and thoughtful approach to our design process. Our focus is on creating high-quality pieces that will last you for many summers to come.

 So, where do we start? The first step is always research. We look at what our customers have loved from our previous collections and take note of their feedback. We also keep an eye on the latest technology and materials, so we can incorporate new and innovative elements into our designs.

 Once we have a good sense of what our customers want and what materials and technologies are available, we move onto the design phase. This is where I get to put my creativity to work! I draw inspiration from the Brazilians bikinis and vibrant energy of Brazil, and infuse that into each piece.

 After the designs are complete we move on to the sampling stage. This is where we bring our designs to life. We work with our manufacturing partners to create a sample of each design. This step can take some time, usually around 6 to 8 weeks. We want to make sure that each piece is perfect before we move on to the next stage.

 Once we have the samples, we try them on to make sure that they fit well and look great. We also test them in the water to make sure that they perform well. This step can take another 2 to 4 weeks. 

 Once we have all the samples finalized and approved, we move onto the production phase. This is where our skilled artisans put in the hard work of creating each piece by hand. We oversee every step of the production process to ensure that each piece meets our high standards for quality and craftsmanship.

 Before the launch, we take the final step of photographing our beautiful new collection. This is where our pieces come to life, and we get to see them in action! We love capturing the vibrant energy, and spontaneous spirit of Brazil through our photos.

 Finally, the collection is ready for launch!

 So, as you can see, creating a new collection for a small and slow fashion brand like Aira Bikini takes time. From the concept stage to the final production, it can take anywhere from 12 to 24 months. But we believe that taking the time to create sustainable and timeless pieces is worth it.
